Taking cylinder head off hints tips please was created by Unz
Hi I've got a 1980 kz750e
I need to take the head cylinder off to repair an exhaust manifold stud that's broken off , I'd do in place but the frame is in the way .
Can someone advise with the gaskets I will need etc so I can order before please
Also do I need to put the engine in position ie , tdc before starting ?
Thanks for any help

I HIGHLY recommend you stop work on the bike until you have acquired a Kawasaki Service Manual. In it, in the section marked "DISASSEMBLY _ ENGINE INSTALLED" you will notice they remove the cylinder head with the engine still in the frame. Trying to work on these bikes without the manual is a bike like crossing a major highway while wearing a blindfold. Ed
