The speedometer and rpms tack lights no longer come on and the bulbs are fine and so are the fuses. Also my tale lights no longer work unless I hit the brakes and I did check the bulbs. Any help

By any chance had you replaced the regular bulbs with LED's before this problem started? Ed

Actually, did you do anything at all before this happened? Like anything, change the oil, remove the tank, open the headlight, change a battery... etc?

It would also help to know exactly chich 82 Kz550 you have. Your choices are the standard, the chain-drive Ltd, or the gpz, and maybe a shaft-drive Ltd. The letter designations would be A, C, H, M or F (both shaft drive). The shaft-drives might not exist in 82, though.

This will narrow down the electrical diagrams we have to look at.

Once you know what you have, it would help to put your bike in your signature.

The tail and clock lights are all powered through the same 'tail' fuse, check the fuse first then power to it from battery etc...also check the other side of the circuit - the black/yellow earth -ve wiring. Tail lights and clocks often benefit from an extra frame earth added.
