kz650 vacuum reading very low was created by blink543

I put the vac gauges on my bike and I'm getting a very low reading

If you lower the idle they should come up.

but it will only stay on with the choke. maybe my slides are closed too far?

You bench sync them to make them all the same height. The idle screw should raise or lower the idle. If it won't the pilots are not working.
