"PS. That GPz is one wicked looking machine."

Back in 1981 when I bought my new GPz550 it seemed that the cops were laying for me, and I used to joke that my GPz was rolling probable cause and that I could get speeding tickets while washing it in my driveway.

In all fairness - I DID treat the city streets like racetracks sometimes.

My wife asked me if I still loved her - I said "Honey, I love you more than new carburetor boots ! "

Are stripes painted? I want stripes like yours!
Did you choose red color or it is original?

They only did the GPz in Firecracker Red in the USA. I believe all the stripes were vinyl, and sprayed in with the clear coat.

So I've got about $10k invested in a bike with a high book of less than $4k, but I console myself with the fact that I love the thing, and that there are probably only a handful of these Canadian shipped bikes still in existence with stock DFI. Plus, $10k wouldn't buy me any new bike that I'd like as well, would it?

Some people love their bikes and cars and have enough money for repairs.

Others make do with the old fashioned stuff built to last (when properly cared for), and improved upon by nuts like us. B)
