GPZ750 sump question

There's a stud sticking out of the sump, what is that for? I can't work out what attaches to it. I think mines damaged anyway and was planning grinding it flush before I send it off for powder coating?

Ah ok. I'll have an aftermarket exhaust with the engine in a z650 so I doubt that mount will have a use. I'll go ahead and grind it off. Thanks!

It's a broken threaded stud. You should be able to heat it up good and hot with a torch and then spin it out using some vicegrips. Some penetrating oil on the threads for a couple days before performing the extraction wouldn't hurt.
