Z1R Turbo APE main bearing cap was created by mrdatsunturbo
Hi there
I started to do the APE main bearing support cap.
Crank is welded so i want to do this?
But in the instruction it says. After milling cap flat
Pick up bolt surface and cut it down .312" (7.92mm)
Please explain me what bolt surface is??
And also APE main bearing studs where to fit the two tallest bolts.
OEM crank bearing cap there is 4bolt same lenghts. Thanks from Norway

So the idea is, the tops of the four bolt holes that secure the bearing cap to the case, is where you would set you milling height to. Then you mill the arch looking ribs that extend upwards beyond that point so that you have a flat surface the APE plate brace can lay against and be bolted down to.
