I'm taking the clutch on my 1984 KZ1100R apart in order to replace all of the springs and plates. The engine of this model is the same as the 1983 GPz1100. I'd like to know the torque values for the spring bolts, I've heard 6.5 or 7.5 ft/lbs. Does anyone know the answer for sure? B)

Thanks!!!

You have a 1100R but no factory service manual? I don't even own a large KZ but I've got a digital version of the manual.

To answer your question, the manual says 78 in-lbs.

Thanks Nessism, to quote Clint Eastwood, "A man's got to know his limitations". Thankfully, I know mine, and don't really do too much wrenching on any of my bikes, just the rudimentary stuff. I'm more like Trevor from the GSR forum, I just like riding them! I have a good buddy who is more experienced than me coming over to give me some help with the job. Having the correct specs helps a lot, thanks. I looked online for a digital manual but I drew a blank.
