Won't start after changing Shift Pedal Return

My Shift pedal return spring broke and I replaced it with the help of this forum:
kzrider.com/forum/2-engine/592618-kz-400...-pedal-not-returning

I got the bike back together and adjusted the timing. It was starting and immediately dying so I adjust the timing again and cleaned the points.

It's getting fuel, has a strong battery, strong spark, clean air filter, but won't start. It's killing me because it's finally nice out and I want to ride.

Any Ideas?

Any chance you swapped the wiring to the coils.
You will still get spark, but at the wrong time.

Check the adjustment of the points again.
