Hey guys I'm rebuilding my Kz1100 motor and wanted to upgrade the hoses on my current OEM oil cooler. the old lines were dangerously close to the headers and starting to melt a little bit so I figured I'd upgrade to stainless steel. the new lines are the same 3/8 internal diameter however the hose wall diameter is about half the stock diameter. the stainless steel lines say they are non reinforced but rated for street use of up to 200 - 250 psi. I checked my manual and online and cannot find my bikes oil pressure rating. Does anyone know what the stock oil pressure would be so i can compare?
Thanks in advance

If it's anything like my KZ1000, a 30psi-40psi hose would be over kill
I've never heard of one running over 15psi cold and revving and normally less then 5psi.

Agree with mission kz.
Motors are low pressure , high volume , running about 3 psi warmed up 15 psi cold.
Make sure lines are rated for high heat

Isn't there something in the factory service manual about max psi and the pressure relief valve? Or is that just to bypass the oil filter if clogged?
I've also never seen an oil pressure gauge on Z1, 900 or kZ1000 do that Steve.
I wonder if your gauge has a ballistics problem and the pressure really never exceeds some lower psi number?
