Wiseco 810 head gasket was created by jimmybon
I recently purchased a new wiseco 810 head gasket and found that the end oil gallery oval hole don't line up by 2 mm per side. It came in a packet marked "cometic gasket made in the USA"
Has anyone had this problem before and is there a better brand?

I don't think there are any other brands.

2mm off may or may not be important, depends on where. Those gaskets are very thin in the area around the oval oil restrictors. This is also where the 650/750 engines often weep oil. If the gasket is off in that location I'd send it back and ask for a replacement.

Have to agree with Nessim, I'd be worried about the O rings on the oil passageways staying in place and sealing.

Imagine you try'd turning it around and if I remember it only goes on one way .... I remember my base gasket and head gasket fitting about perfect....... base gasket has maybe only .080 sealing around the o ring so I stuck it in place with copper coat to make sure it didn't move...........my head gasket came in the piston kit (700cc) and can't remember if it was a Cometic ,,, .... maybe send it back and try Wiseco ?

I'm not getting much help from the supplier (Serco) Australian importer. He tells me he has 1 in stock so I'm sending him a trace drawing showing him the differance between a ZR750 ( i have left over from the Japanese gasket kit ) and the Wiseco 810cc head Gasket.
The ZR750 gasket fits perfectly and is made up of aluminium sheets, goo and laminated togerther, its vary stiff.
I'm seriously thinking of modifying this gasket as all it needs is to be 69mm bore. being a failed engineer I've roughly designed a punch to cut it out
Has anyone done this sort of thing?
