Cylinder head fits? 1977 - 1980

Dear all,
I have to replace the cylinder head of my 1977 KZ400 D. I've been offered a cylinder head of a 1980 Z400 G (K4). Does this head fit to the D model? Anybody knows this? Thanks so much for your help. Regards from Europe!

According to Partzilla, the same part number for the head was used 1974 - 1978. The later one may have had a small update or may have been quite different. Hopefully a 400 expert will come along soon. Why do you need a new one?

It looks like in the U.S. that 1980 - 1984 the 440 replaced the 400. The cylinder head looks quite different in the parts diagrams. Perhaps the 400 continued into 1980 where you live. If so, the head would be the same.

the part no of the "new" head is: EAN 1215-059-C0L180
hmmm... hope it fits. But it is definitely a 400ccm..
