KZ650SR Kerker on a GPZ750 engine? was created by bannerscum
All,

Does anyone know if the Kerker on my 79 KZ650SR would fit a GPZ750 engine in the same bike?

Thanks in advance!

It will fit to the head no problem but where you are likely to see a misfit is where the muffler mounts to the footpeg bracket in the rear. I'm not familiar with that particular pipe so the mismatch may be as easily resolved as adapting or making a new bracket. On the other hand, if the pipe tucks up close to the frame and attached hardware, the fit tweaking may not be quite that easy. I say this from experience after trying to get a GPz Supertrapp pipe to fit on my KZ model bike. The midpipe hits the muffler hanger brackets and I can't fix that with a bracket. Hope you don't have similar issues.

Thank you sir! I'm not sure which model Kerker Z1 sold me, but I had to bend one of the hangars to make it fit the peg anyway. Just the fact that the pipe will fit the head is great news. Thanks!!
