Engine mounting on kz 550. was created by fastdave
Am I missing some spacers or something? You can see the space between the mounts and the engine in the pictures.. The bike is a 1983 kz550m I think. I have had a lot of trouble finding assembly instruction on this bike. My most used resource is the parts diagram on partzilla and the pictures I took while disassembling.

You can see the bike when I got it by viewing my project thread 1983 kz550 ltd

I would appreciate any help on this.

You have the later rubber mounted type, you have some spacers missing. You might be able to get some rubber washers and
make up the part if it is unavailable.

I guess I'll look for some spacers in my bolts and screws. Those are the same parts diagram that I have been using and they don't show anything else there either. If anyone has a picture of theirs I would appreciate it. I suppose I couldnt go too wrong if I make something but it's wierd that I don't seem to have anything in my pile. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for all the help. I noticed in some of my pictures that I could read the word "japan" on the aluminum engine mount and after assembly I couldnt. The mount was inside out. It was very hard to see the difference and did not look like it would even work the other way. Thanks everyone!
