Are chain models more valuable than shaft ones?floivanus wrote:
we in the states used to strip and scrap out every single kz1000 shaft drive to fix chain models.

Anyone who wants to mod a kz1000 (most who want to build or own one) want a chain drive. Out of the parts bikes I have bought (and resurected) more than half were shaft drive models that were stripped of their parts to fix a chain driven one. And why nebr said the comment he had. MOST wouldn't fix a shaftie
To do the tear down and refresh was a weekend job.

Its been a while but I've had the head apart replaced stem seals. Given the head a good clean. Now it certainly runs better at idle. Problem now is white smoke from one of the pipes when you rev it up. Not happy any suggestions.?
Thanks guys
