Piston pin size

i bought a wiseco piston kit k1172 for my kz1100. This kit is for 18mm wrist pin on piston. mine is 17mm. My question is, can the connecting rod small end be honed to 18mm. my bike is a 1982 , and the kit is for a 1983. Any help appreciated

it will cost you more than a new piston kit.

Thanks for response. Might be just as easy to get newer crank with rods.

18mm pin crank assemblies are not that common.
