kz305 exhaust was created by chimike
Hello all.
I have a 1981 kz305 that I've prepared for my wife to ride. The bike is a blast but the mufflers are falling apart. I am hoping someone will know where I can source a complete exhaust for this bike. I would prefer to get a scrambler style system but any other suggestions are welcome. I have a feeling that I'm going to have to get a system built from an exhaust shop or try my hand at building one myself. Here's a pic of the bike. Thanks for helping.

:woohoo: Awsome little bike! Probably know this but there are some decent stock ones on eBay for around $100-200. I would stick with stock to maintain the 75mpg you get on that fuel sipper.

thanks for the compliment. I've ordered the best looking stock exhaust from ebay. After riding around with the wife yesterday I want to maintain the stock level of noise for this bike.

very nice I did see your build on do the ton and it provided some inspiration for my build. How is your bike holding up? I've managed to source some new carb boots and a few other maintenance items for my bike that will be installed over the winter. For now the wife is enjoying the bike. When she allows I like riding it around the city (Chicago) its very nimble has good pick up for a little 300.

Looks great, but where is the front fender lol. Flinging water and asphalt up in your face is no fun.

Mine is still smokey sadly. After sourcing the last set of rings on the planet, I think the guy that installed them was out of his element. They never seemed to bed in properly so it's still pretty smokey. Once I get my 750 road legal I might give the motor a tear down and have a good looksie in there. Apart from that it's pretty fun to ride. Man I took a Harley 883 Iron for a test ride last week (my wife put me up to it so we can win a trip to the US) . What a rattling pice of shit. I'm a Kawasaki man!

I used Harley mufflers from ebay ($50) and flex pipes from Advance auto a few times.

Perfect bike for the wife, but I'd suggest getting a front fender, or a fork brace for safety reasons
the fender or a fork brace keeps the forks stable
