The stock speedometer is probably the 2240 type (2240 revs = 1 mile). I think that's a Japanese standard. You'll probably need to get an aftermarket speedo with the ratio typically listed as 2240@60mph. I didn't see an 84 model in the diagrams at partzilla, but the speedo drive gearbox at the wheel on the 83 440 Ltd has a 26T speedometer gear & 9T pinion, which is fairly common for KZs along w the 2240 stuff.
