Thought I should check first because the image on CMS website makes it look like it's the other way around.
Just to confirm, is this right?

Well, now the numbers are right at least.
To clear things up, in case this is where the confusion lies, it doesn't matter at all which wire from the left coil goes to #1 and which goes to #4, just that they do. They fire simultaneously.

The reason is that these bikes use what is called 'wasted spark' ignition. So when the coil for 1 & 4 fires, one cylinder is on the power stroke and the other is on the exhaust stroke (and this is the spark that's wasted).
Otherwise they'd need 4 coils (or 1 coil and a distributor).
The only real down side is that, unlike on a car with a distributor, when you pull a plug wire, you don't just kill that cylinder, you also kill the other cylinder attached to that coil. Something to keep in mind when troubleshooting...
