What is the difference between the B8ES & BR8ES?
Does anyone run their KZ1000P on NGK Iridium plugs or Brisk Premium LGS plugs?

The "R" in "BR8ES" stands for resistor. You bike doesn't need resistor plugs, and if it has resistor spark plug caps using R plugs may cause a problem. Ed

$17.99 each! Holy cow! I use the specified ND plugs and have never have any problems with them; a set very easily lasts more than 10,000 miles. A few years ago I bought 4 packs of 10 (40 spark plugs) from eBay for $12 with free delivery! That's enough plugs to last beyond my lifetime. I would look at using the specified ND or NGK plugs since they work perfectly fine. Ed

ND is the name that was adopted by Nippondenso years ago. They now just use the name Denso. If you look in your Kawasaki Service Manual you will see they recommend either ND spark plugs or NGK spark plugs. The manual for your specific bike will show exactly which plugs to use. I have used both brands and found the ND plugs work best in my bike. My KZ650-C1 uses ND W22ES-U plugs. Those are the "Hot-U" plugs with the "U" shaped ground electrode. Different KZ engines use different model plugs, so check the manual for the correct ones for your bike.

Many places sell them. Check online or local bike shops. You might even find a great deal on eBay. Ed

Any engine that takes the NGK B8ES plugs also take the ND W22ES-U plugs
my 1980 LTD 1000 uses the same plugs as 650ed's KZ 650

Pete

There may be a bit of confusion on this one.

The NGK B8ES plugs are the same heat range as the ND W24ES-U plugs. These plugs are one heat range colder than the plugs below.

The NGK B7ES plugs are the same heat range as the ND W22ES-U plugs.
