Kickstarter stuck

Recently had this motor apart because the balancer settings weren't right. Got all of that taken care of and put back together..no more vibration, fired right up and rode it down the street no problems whatsoever and was going through the gears smoothly. All of the sudden bike just died. Fixed that problem. Was just a loose connection but when I went to start it back up the kickstarter wouldn't budge. When I had the clutch lever pulled in it would turn but that's it. So I disassembled the clutch cover and the whole right side of the engine and I put everything back together right so I'm stuck. Any ideas?

If you put the bike in gear, say 3rd, and roll it so the engine turns over, does it budge?
Does the kickstarter move at all after that?
