I was looking on my 1979 kz650 and there was a little bulb with what looks like mercury in it hanging from a wire. It fell off. Anyone know what it is?

There is no mercury switch on a kz650.

It was either something else or added by a previos owner.
If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

Perhaps part of a motion sensor for an alarm system. :unsure:

if it was up near the guages or headlight bucket, it is a burned out light bulb. They look like that, silvery gray tint inside the glass
