I think what he means is, is there a top or bottom to the gasket. I would suggest adding a pic of said gasket along with year and model of bike.

Most of the base gaskets have a cut out at the pry point for removing the block, so they are irreversible.

hello people; This is a head gasket not base bought recently from Z1 ent. 77 K1. engine. They told me it doesn't matter but I had to ask here. I ordered a Cometic and was sent a packaged gasket with Weisco all over it. They also said it's a Cometic. So if a cometic why sell to Weisco to repackage? I don't get it?

All wiseco kits com with cometic gaskets I'm pretty sure, I have a NOS 'wiseco' set in original sealed packing with a cometic head gasket. Gasket should be slightly bigger than the bore, maybe 1mm at most.
