How do I clean and relive the speedo drive for a 78 kz650b? My Speedo is bouncing around and trying to eliminate the problem. Heard it could be crap and old lube built up inside it?

Clymer manual is very poor when it comes to this and the factory manual instructions sound pretty tricky (having to drill out the pin to get it apart and needs to be right or it can lock things up etc) ....... Look under fork assembly in the Clymer........ I remember just removing it spraying it out and lubing mine without tearing into it years ago. It needs to put back right and the axle clamps too so follow instruction carefully...........Lube the cable first (all of them for that matter) and it could be the speedo itself giving you the problem too.
