Looks like it was a success. I will upload a bunch of photos of my 750 block and pistons when it comes. I want to see if there appears to be any issues before moving forward. The block I purchased is from a 1983 Kawasaki KZ750N. The only thing I will have to figure out if its in good shape is how to remove the paint.
In the link I see that the person used a KZ650 head on the KZ750 block, but I do not see anything that says he installed KZ750 valves in that head. He simply lapped the KZ650 valves. Did I miss something? Ed

The 82 is pretty much the same as the 81 engine wise.

Between the years there were differences in cam lift, duation, lobe centres and base circle mm, valve size and CR-maybe even valve angle differences as on the late big GPz's. To allow for this different piston part part numbers may be different valve pocket details.
I've done quite a lot of mix and match on 550's but checking clearances with plasticine is what I do. time consuming I know but the only way to sure.
if the 750 head and block with pistons and cams gets used together then probably ok. I'd think using the smaller 650 valves and milder cam you'll probably be ok, as the 750 would have I guess deeper valve pockets...but I'd check this carefully.

Looks like a NOS piston shows the same.
