Engine swap ??

I have been building bikes in California for years. I've swapped dozens of engines, frames, ect.. Some of the builds I've done, the only paperwork I have is a bill of sale for the frame only. I just go to the DMV and have the frame and engine inspected then they give me a title with the separate frame and engine numbers, And it's not a salvage title but a regular one, It's not that hard.

The bike was in my name. The frame was different but the engine was not. That's how they got me.

Seems your the only one that's had title problems anyways. With your "19 years in law enforcement" how could this happen to you anyways ?? :woohoo:

Didn't mean to hijack your thread. I was just pointing out the possible pitfalls of swapping engines.
As for being involved with LE, they'll take anyone's money if they can.
