Kinda related to the headlight shell paint. I hate rust, so I painted the back side or hidden part of almost all of the chrome steel parts on my bike, usually with bar-b-que grill paint. I used silver wheel paint on the inside of the tail light license plate bracket. In hindsight I should've also used silver paint on the inside of the headlight bucket as well, instead of black. Silver would help to make it easier to see the wires n stuff. doh.

Now if I could only find a GOOD copy or pdf of a FSM 1977 KZ1000A1.... most look pretty dog eared or simply look like Hell for $30-$50!

Mine, revision 1 September 6th, 1977, is fairly worn too, since I bought the rag in early 1978, the year after I got the bike.... in 1977.
