engine noise was created by rlcarter
hello guys.. i just put a fresh rebuilt head on a 1980 kz1000G. the valve clearances were set at .007 the engine noise is noticeably louder. is this normal with that much clearance

.007 is kind of wide. I run mine .003" - .005".

i bought it that way. could that be the reason for the noise

If it has shim on top lifters, you could spit a shim. :ohmy:
