NOT SURE, SO I CHECKED Z1ENTERPRISES.COM BUT DIDN'T SEE A KIT & THE K&L ON-LINE CATALOGUE DOESN'T LIST ONE EITHER, BUT YOU CAN DOUBLE CHECK BOTH PLACES TO MAKE SURE. THE DIAGRAMS AT PARTZILLA SHOW A VACUUM PETCOCK FOR THE 78 400-C1 & I'D GUESS THE BOLT-HOLE SPACING IS 44MM. IF THAT'S WHAT YOU HAVE, Z1ENT USUALLY CARRIES A K&L SUZUKI PETCOCK THAT SHOULD WORK, BUT IT IS TEMP-OUT-OF-STOCK. IF YOU CAN'T FIND ANYTHING, YOU COULD GET AN ADAPTER PLATE & NPT THREADED FUEL VALVE. Z1ENTERPRISES SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING --- SEARCH FOR SUZUKI PETCOCK OR PINGEL. PINGEL, DRAG SPECIALTIES, KUSTOM KROME, ETC. :P

I let the moths out of my wallet and bought a Pingel valve many years ago and Ive never been one bit sorry. but my wife had issues because she could see my panty line through my wallet. but that was a long time ago.

I imagine it changes from bike to bike, but I replaced my KZ250 petcock with one for a Yamaha Raptor - it was a bolt-on replacement and cost $5.

I used a kit for an early CB750. Not an exact fit but it has worked for several years with no leaks. This was for a '76 KZ400D
