I can't imagine this hasn't been asked 10 million times but nothing came up in search.
In the search to find a reason for my high rpm at highway speed on my kz1100 shaft. 5500@70mph I used this oil.. Is it ok with wet clutch?

I wouldn't use it in my motorcycle because I ONLY use oil that is approved for use with wet clutches. I do not feel there is a legitimate reason to use oil that is not approved for wet clutches; especially since I replaced a clutch that may have been ruined by using Castorl GTX car oil.
Just curious - is there a reason you don't want to use oil approved for wet clutches? There are plenty of JASO-MA compliant oils on the market, some are synthetic, some are dino. Some are expensive; some are not. Personally, I use Mobil-1 Racing 4T motorcycle oil, but there are other JASO-MA oils available at lower prices that work fine. Ed

It was the only 10w40 at Wal-Mart.. I don't think it has anything to do with my rpm issue but I guess I didn't consider the clutch when getting it. I'll swap it out soon.

That oil won't destroy your clutch. Relax. If you clutch is slipping that is most likely because your clutch springs are weak. Order up some new OEM springs and slam them in. The clutch springs fatigue and compress after 40 years under load. Sometimes if you change your oil to something more slippery than what was installed previously the spring weakness will surface is all.
