What kind of Motor oil are you using ? ....is it JASO/MA, certified? If not, your clutch can be slipping

Switched the 4th cylinder plug with the 1st cylinder plug, and the issue did not carry over to the 4th cylinder. This seems to be specific to the 1st cylinder. Pipe is not running hot like the other three. Pulled the carbs for a rebuild, sounds like missionkz may be right.

Pete, there was some regular automobile oil in her. Did an oil change today, and nothing but motorcycle oil was used this time.

Peter, I really wish I though of this before I removed the carbs. Will rebuild and if the issue persists, then I will try switching the plug caps.

Sounds like it's in your carbs, there's several good posts on cleaning them well, if your not familiar with CV carbs and all their passages, do some searching....

Making ensure all the passages and jets (some of these CV carbs have 3 jets in each carb), is critical to getting things right.... Also search "clear tube" to learn how to set the levels correct...

Hope you get it going, report back after any updates so we can help!

Chris
