Which cylinders are connected to which coils? Maybe you have them connected wrong. Ed

Well I just bought the bike, did some repairs...... It seems to be the bottom of each coil goes to the ones that r not firing, the top goes to the ones that r firing.. Left to right sitting on the bike.... Spark, no spark, spark, no spark... So that's where I'm at so far

One coil should be connected to cylinders 1 & 4. The other coil should be connected to cylinders 2 & 3. Ed

Ya. Top of the coil goes to 1 and 3 bottom plugs go to 2 and 4. As it sits that's how I'm describing the layout. Sitting on the bike. 1,2,3,4 top plugs go to 1 and 3 And the bottom of the coil plugs go to the 2 and 4. So to me half of each coil is not working. Or could it be the cdi box cuz that was shattered and I got a different one when I bought the bike. Plus I can't find a book or anything to look at on line... Help

One coil goes to 1/4 the other goes to 2/3. If it doesn't fire switch them.

OK so one coil is going to 1&4 the other to 2 & 3, as much as I can figure 2 and 4 r not firing.
