Ii have a Dunlop mr 90-18-71 on it, but in current tires no one can find a matching size.
Does anyone know the corresponding size in current sizing?
Thanks!

I think you are shopping at the wrong place...LOL. That is a standard tire.Sgt. Sandbag wrote: Hey guys I have a '95 Kz1000p and need a new rear tire. I know in shouldn't have to ask this, but I've searched myself and been two two different shops and no one knows what size tire I need ha, it's a awkward size I guess, and pretty old.

Just like Swest stated . I think the 71H means it has an 700-800 something "pounds" rating (I forgot the actual load rating at #71) and the H means it is rated to 130mph.

That tire uses an obsolete tire sizing system. Here is one link with some info:
www.mad-ducati.com/Technical/TireInfo/TireChart.html
It looks like that corresponds to a 120/90-18 in modern sizes, which seems correct to me for that model. Not all manufacturers provide the full tire data, but Bridgstone does for the BT45. They show the ideal rim width, along with max/min width for each size in this chart: www.bridgestone.com/products/motorcycle_...ts/battlax/bt45.html
For the V rated rear, it looks like the 120/90-18 or 130/80-18 would work, as both can be used with a 2.5" wide wheel. But the 130 might rub on the chain guard, as it did on my bike.
