Oily fumes are blow by! From worn pistons and rings. Do a leak down test and see how much pressure is leaking into the crank case.Garbosh wrote: The oily fumes are what build up in the filter.

Try some heavy duty straight, non-detergent SAE 50 or 60 weight oil. As long as you are in warm conditions. That will fix the blow by some. Or STP or Bardahl or some saw dust. Yes guys did this years ago selling used cars!

For jetting, 20 pilots and 120 mains are a good baseline for VM carbs on a KZ with headers and pods.
