KZ400 Head engine mount was created by DoctoRot
i had to pull the cam cover off my KZ400. I put it back on and torqued the head studs down to the proper values, and now the head mount doesn't line up. None of the other mounts were touched. I tried putting a jack under the engine to see if i could get it to rotate up, but because it is mounted in 2 other spots its not budging. Should i slot the mount so i can get it to bolt up?

Did you try switching the top mount plates from side to side? You might have them switched. You would think they would be exactly the same, but its worth a shot.

Try that and put in all the bolts loose. Loosen the other bolts too, then tighten the top one, then the rest. Looks like the top mount can only go one way.

Yeah I left the bolts loose and tried swapping side to side as well. Im still scratching my head trying to understand how it could move this much.
