Kz1000 mk2 crank with pics
03 Mar 2015 13:22
Hey Guys ,
Just started back into my Mk 11 project bike , cleaned off the crank in the parts washer today . I noticed this galling on one the journals And on the outside of the bearing race .I checked the con rod bearing side float and the number 5 bearing , all well within tolerance and bearings run true and free . I dont see it would be a future problem, maybe casting marks but would like a second opinion ( or two) !!! I ve built a few motors but not one of these .
Thanks
Mick

Everything looks normal from what can be seen in the pic's.
The part you have the rule on is a crank web and they always have casting marks showing or the odd ding from where they were trued at the factory.
