gears not engaging was created by Robx
I have a KZ1000 1A 1977. Electric start works, kick start doesn't. Can't seem to engage any of the gears. What's my problem?

Kick start will only work with the clutch lever released since the gears engage with the clutch basket.
Kawasaki also has a "positive neutral finder". That means only neutral or 1st gear can be selected unless the rear wheel is spinning some.
