I would love to do that some time. I live in andover and was really beginning to think there were no other old kawasaki's in the area. Only bikes I currently have include a 78 kz1000, 76 kh500, and an 83 gs1100e. I am always on the lookout for more but very rarely run across anything good. Im an agronomist for Wheat Growers and keep hoping that I will someday stumble across a barn find. If you ever want to let go of a bike let me know My buddy has a z1r that we picked up as a chassis and boxes of parts but at the rate hes been making progress on it i will be an old man by the time it gets done

That's weird, my wife works at Wheat Growers in McLaughlin, she tests grain, samples trucks, and hauls fertilizer in the spring. I went to a hillclimb in Andover back in 1972 or 73. I remember the hill was south of town a few miles and only two guys made it to the top and one of them was on a new Harley Baja. The hotel on the corner was still open and I think there was a café in it. I went to all the races back then, Pierre, Huron, Eureka, Mobridge, it was fun. My friend that I went to the races with was a Kawasaki dealer and he rode a G31M. I know of a guy that lives 22 miles from you that has a 1973 Z1 sitting in the barn. He called me last year and I went there to buy it but he changed his mind. I'm sure he still has it but who knows if he would sell it or not. It is in very nice original condition, just sitting there covered in dust.

I am a bout 200 miles north of you guys up near Devils Lake. I go to an ABATE rally every June near Bismarck. I wouldn't mind riding down to see your bikes if it works out for you. McLauglin cant be too far.
