It's been over 500 miles since my new valve, seal, spring install. I ordered the shims expected and had to adjust three valves. All the rest were still in spec. I expected them to seat in and some did by about .001. Not too bad considering the stronger springs. It is obvious that on the next valve job, the valves will need to be "tipped" and the seats ground. On #4 exhaust valve I now have a 210 shim. 220 on #3, 215 #2 and 220 on #1. The intakes are in the 230/240 range. Head is almost spent. If I buy another one on eBay, it won't be a bare one. That's done to hide wear. No "drag bike" parts ether. That's a GANK.

I got a tranny from a 30,000 mile KZ 900 that was perfect. Back cut it myself. Passed on others because of missing bearing caps. Probably blued inside so was lost. Bid on a crank but while taking a closer look, I could tell it was bent. That bike must have been through a crusher. I backed out and the seller had to let me. Got to be careful and use the buyer protection. Lots of good people and bad.
