o ring dimensions
18 Jan 2015 07:27
hi everyone
I'm finally getting around to re assembly my 1983 kz550 A3 and could do with a little advice on some o-ring dimensions.
to refit the sump I need 3 o-ring for the oil ways which look to measure 13 x 4 and 1 for the oil filter chamber at 88 x 4. I have no old O-rings to measure so these measurements are taken from the fitment areas.
does anyone the correct dimensions?
many thanks in advance mark

Thanks in advance. Mark

Partzilla.com
or PowerSportsWarehouse. Partzilla is easier to use.
I think the diagrams will list the size or ID of some of the o-rings.

Mark... you you still have the unit out, why not take it to your local auto parts store and see what they have in the way of O-rings to fit the areas you need filled? Yea, I know it's ol'school, but IMPO this is the best way to assure you get what's needed, without guessing and hoping. You may even find a good human willing to assist. Most of these ol'school guys know what you're going thru and are more than willing to help.
I needed, in short order, an O-ring for the base of a petcock. It took me ~1hr, <$1 and I had what I needed.

Thanks for your replies
Think I've found the parts numbers from partzilla
671B2590
92055-077
Just wondering if anyone knows the Iinternal dia and c/s diameter. I have access to large range of o rings but need to be sure I get these right.
Thanks again. Mark
