84' GPZ 1100 Valve cover/reed question. was created by eofa
General question. I have an 84 GPZ1100 and doing a complete rebuild/mod situation. Not running the fuel injection. Will be getting some Mikuni Flatslides at some point.
My question is on the valve cover with the reeds and cross over hose. Are those only needed to work with the stock fuel injection or can those just be blocked off?
Just need a little info on if those are needed and what their purpose is. Thanks for any help.

you have the head off just have the holes under them tapped/plugged,then you can just use blank covers.
