04 Jan 2015 16:06
Hello, I have a 83 Kawasaki GPZ 1100 and my question is when my bike is warm it sounds as if the lifters are ticking
does anyone know what that is?
Thanks and I'll look for the post.

Time to check valve adjustment/shims,could also be an exhaust leak I suppose depending on where its coming from.

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

Take in piece of broom handle or similar and listen from were the noise is coming from. It might be lifters or cam chain. How many miles on it?

33,000, about time for top end refresh. How do the plugs look. Oil?
