Oil Level Sight Glass Replacement was created by ramtough_63
is it as straight forward as it seems to replace the sight glass? Or is it a major pain or a
trick that should know about?

Just popped mine out 30 min ago, no big deal. I heated up the area with heat gun then used seal puller to pry up on the inside one of the little holes in the metal piece on the back of the sight glass and it came out easy.

the bore for the SG is straight thru and doesn't have a shoulder or counter bore on the ID for the seal to seat against so when I re install I'll go from the inside/out reverse of removal, it's my first so I can't say which was is right or if it's irrelevant.

I hate mine. It almost cost me a motor once. What's wrong with the old fashion dip stick? I cleaned mine with carb cleaner and a Q tip in my screw gun. I let it soak, then ran the tip in there. Took a few tries. I had to bend two of the holes out a tad to get to it but now it works fine. I still hate it.

I've done 2 and both are simple. The pic in Phoenix Fighter build has a brand new one it. Pop the old one out and gently push the new one in from the inside out like MK2 stated. Was a bit skeptical the first tiem I did one, I always expected it to leak, never did. I purchased mine from Z1 of course.
