Engine Number Information was created by lhemrick
Where can I go to run a set of engine numbers to make sure they are what I was told they were. The bike and or engines are supposed to be 81 KZ750 LTD's.

Thanks!

CycleChaos.com has engine & frame number info for many Kawasaki motorcycles.
Zedder.com is another place to try.

Just wondering, is there a reason you need to check out the numbers? In California the numbers are on the title and registration.

I'm a honda guy but own a couple of KZ's one being this 750. It needs an engine rebuild and when it comes to piston rings I'm being told even among 750's and the LTDs they are different. I have purchased a donor engine for some parts I need and just want to make sure it also is a 81 750 LTD engine.

You might try z1enterprizes to see if there are any differences. I don't think so unless someone changed the pistons.
I'd make sure before I ordered. It happens on used bikes. Good luck.
