Interesting comment. Kawasaki specifies Threebond (or Kawabond as it were) 1207B for case halfs, which is a silicone material. Rebuilding my 750 engine and removing the oozed out black sealer material confirmed that Kawasaki uses silicone. Threebond also sells non-silicone case sealer materials which are a good substitute, but both Kawasaki and Suzuki spec the 1207B stuff on a lot of engines (maybe because it's black).
