could someone tell me if a 1980 kz1000G came with the MK11 engine

I believe it was, except it was fuel injected, & not carbureted

1980 LTD 1000..,1976 LTD 900, have the 1000&900 now. the rest are previous= 1978 KZ 650 B.., 1980 Yamaha XT 500..,1978 Yamaha DT 400.., 1977 Yamaha yz 80..,Honda trail ct 70.., Honda QA 50...5-1/2 hp brigs & straton CAT chopper mini bike...3-1/2 hp mini bike (WHEN GAS WAS ABOUT 45 CENTS A GALLON)!!!!

VIN# has an "E" KZTOOAE or somewhere, the E always told me that. I gave my last one away 2 years ago.
Nothing to look at at the moment.

My engine has AE in serial number and is a MKII.

do you still have the fuel injection on it ? i took mine off went with carbs and dyna .. was told the factory injection was not that good.. what are your thoughts on it ?
1980 KZ1000 G w/carbs..
