I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

I am wondering if the OEM 78 Z1R complete exhaust with headers will fit a 78KZ1000 LTD ?

Short answer is yes...although you may have to fabricate something to hold the muffler. BTW, if you have the complete OEM Z1R exhaust, then it is worth more than your 1978 LTD

This is what I was thinking. Sell the exhaust and buy yourself a V & H pipe, and a whole bunch of other parts to fix up your bike real purdy.

That much huh? Amazing what time will do. I have a bicycle that I have since high school. Prices upward of 3 grand. Wow. My son will have the pleasure of sharing those good times. Many good memories with that bike. Took me two years of saving up to buy all the right pieces.
