GPZ Magneto, starter clutch issues. Need options.

Need some help. I have no idea what the previous owner was doing but this is shot. Does anyone know of what other year Kaw's use the same magneto will work?

My bike is a 1984 Kaw GPZ 1100.

That is not a magneto, it's a generator. The photo you posted is the rotor. The magnet in those have a history of delaminating and it is nla from Kawasaki. Ebay may be the only way to find one.
wemoto.com may make one that will work.

It is actually an alternator, as the windings are static and the magnetic field is moving.

eofa these are a common problem on the 1100's and are a hard part to find.

Some gpz500 twins and similar use the same part i think, you need to cross reference the part numbers.

1980 Gpz550 D1, 1981 GPz550 D1. 1982 GPz750R1. 1983 z1000R R2. all four aces
