I did not set out to buy a project bike,
but I got one anyway.

I have an exhaust leak on my 82 KZ305CSR. It is on the cross -over pipe, between the two exhaust pipes. The clamps look good. The gasket material inside the slip joint was broken. I tried to trim and reinstall to no avail.
I need whatever this gasket is. I looked at bikebandit and only found a generic gasket set that is for where the header meets the cylinder head. Do you think I could use exhaust wrapping tape?
Thanks,
HH

Partzilla & PowerSportsWarehouse have the Kawasaki diagrams w the full part numbers. The muffler connection gaskets are probably still available (#11060-1051). There are a few listed on eebbaayy. Z1Enterprises.com can probably get them.
Partzilla shows a price of $9.30 each.
I didn't check PSW to see what their price is, but it's probably about the same.
RonAyers is another place.

Can anyone hazzard a guess as to what it would run like if I took off the crossover and capped each side? Make it a 2 into 2 exhaust.
I do notice it seems off a bit with the exhaust leak.
Thanks,
HH

Probably loose a little low-end torque and for the size of the motor, might be noticeable.
