1980 kz750 four weird noise

1980 kz750 four weird noise

The noise sounds right behind the shifter plate... Like a gurgling and I know the starter clutch is going bad but what would that gurgle noise be... Rides good in all gears

If not already done, would assure that the nut that holds the counter-shaft sprocket in position on the output shaft is tight and hasn't loosened.

Yea that's tight do u think a cracked starter clutch plate would make a noise when I Rev it sounds like it right in that area

Kinda like a knock but only does it when I'm giving it high revs not if I'm costing normal

It's not the cam chain or a piston knock comes from the starter area between the breather and starter
