Anybody MAC Header ???
24 Sep 2014 19:12
Have a 77' KZ1000A. Has "anybody" actually purchased and installed a MAC 4 into 1 header for their KZ ? Searched the Forum and Internet and can't seem to find any input ? They look like from the pictures that the header pipes follow the the same Left routing around the oil drain plug and filter similar like the Kerker. Not like the V&H which routes the header pipes around the right of the drain plugs.

Had them on my CB 550 Honda's but that's all there were available at the time. I really don't like the looks of the short stubby muffler but the header pipes looked like they would provide better clearance?
The exhaust system I 'REALLY" like is the new Stainless Steel "Delkevic" 4 into 1 but nobody seems to have one ? It appears to fashioned after the Kerker header. I even emailed Delkevic and they responded saying that it's relatively new product for the KZ and has only been in production for a month. They couldn't even provide a picture of it mounted on the bike?

Put one on a 650 CSR. Fit nice and sounded nice. Price was nice. I'd do it again. I'm down to two bikes and they have original exhaust. If one went it would be replaced by a MAC. Not best looking, not best sounding just like me. But we do the job and do it well.
Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

I did Pete and thanks. Hopefully he has and can post a picture for everyone to see. I'm going to wait a while and save my money to purchase a Delkevic. It appears to be build well for the cost.
